The challenge
The client had been relying on an outdated website that was slow, hard to update, and failing to convert visitors. Mobile experience was an afterthought, and the site scored 42 on Lighthouse — well below competitors.
My approach
I started with a discovery session to understand the client's customers, their decision-making process, and what a successful outcome looked like. From there I built a Figma prototype, iterated on feedback, and moved into development once the design was signed off.
What I built
A Next.js 15 site with TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, optimised images via next/image, a contact form powered by Server Actions and Resend, and a Sanity CMS for easy content updates. Deployed to Vercel with automatic previews on every PR.
The results
Lighthouse performance score jumped from 42 to 99. Page load time dropped from 4.2s to under 0.8s. The client saw measurable improvement in enquiries within the first month.
